It still remains to us to specify the conditions necessary to pray well. I know that the old masters of the Spirit specified several when they were dealing with this subject--some fifteen, some eight, etc. But since those numbers seem to be excessive, I will be content to mention only three. The first is that we must be little and humble, the second, that we must have a goodly supply of hope; and the third is to keep our minds fixed on Jesus Christ crucified.
