Ascension Thursday

Today is Ascension Thursday

Acts 1:9
And when he had said these things, while they looked on, he was raised up: and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they were beholding him going up to heaven, behold two men stood by them in white garments. 11 Who also said: You men of Galilee, why stand you looking up to heaven? This Jesus who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come as you have seen him going into heaven.

Luke 24:50 And he led them out as far as Bethania: and lifting up his hands, he blessed them. 51 And it came to pass, whilst he blessed them, he departed from them and was carried up to heaven. 52 And they adoring went back into Jerusalem with great joy. 53 And they were always in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

Jesus ascended into Heaven!!!  Praised be to God!!!  Jesus, did not choose to stay behind, He ascended into Heaven, leaving His Church, to be His voice...  This Church which is The Body of Christ!!  1 Corinthians 12.  The very fact that Jesus did NOT stay behind, bodily, in human form, is proof positive that Jesus chooses to speak through His Church..  This Church which is the Pillar and Ground of the Truth!  1 Timothy 3:15.
Jesus ascended into Heaven, i say again!  Thanks be to God, for His plan!

So, when many Protestants say that they have a personal relationship with Jesus, what can they possibly mean?  As Jesus did not stay behind.  He ascended into Heaven, sitting at the right hand of God!  The only thing they could be referring to, is perhaps, the feelings that accompany their attendance to a particular church or prayer group.Or perhaps, when they attempt to pray, they FEEL like they have a relationship with Jesus...  Or when they read their Bible, they select certain verses that seem to back up their false assumptions that they are worshiping the One True God.  I understand these sentiments, but, the problem is, that these people base their entire salvation, and hope for salvation on this false idea that they are really in communion with Jesus.  But, how can they be, if they are not within the Body of Christ, which is the Catholic Church, and has been since the Descent of the Holy Ghost? If you look at the commission Jesus gave to the twelve, it is clear, He is leaving them the Holy Ghost,so that they will receive all truth, so that, they can go and tell  ALL that Jesus taught them.  Jesus doesn't go to all people giving ALL this mission, but, He goes to the disciples, in other words, He doesn't go straight to the people, but, He chooses to work through His disciples, His Church, which is built upon Peter(rock)Matthew 16.  This Church, in which Jesus is the cheif cornerstone, Ephesians 2:20!  The only Church, that could possibly be, the Pillar and Ground of the Truth, 1 Timothy 3:15, the One Holy Apostolic Catholic Church, and none other.

To attend any other church, and to claim that any other religion is Christian, is to ignore the very fact that Jesus ascended into Heaven, and that He speaks through His Church.  No other religion, even comes close to speaking on behalf of God Himself, the Catholic Church, being the only Church on Earth, that even claims to speak infallibly on matters of solemnity, having to do with the very salvation of our souls.  All other religions, depend on individual intellect, charism, and various factors, in order to come to their individual, varying beliefs, in which all are free to deny or accept, based on their own whims and inclinations, not trusting in the very Church, that Christ Himself built!

Why do i go to the trouble to say this, eventhough, i'm sure i will disturb and annoy, many???  Because, if you do not go through Jesus and His Church, then, you cannot attain Heaven.  If you do not attain Heaven at your death, you will instead burn in Hell.  Pretty heavy, i know, and it's not the first time i've stated such a scary scenario, but, the facts are clear, and are there for all to see if they will only look.

With love for your precious souls, Paula

I just discovered your blog and I've been reading through your wonderful posts. I just have a question about this. I have been taught be priests that we don't know who will go to heaven or hell, and that we can't assume that protestants are excluded. Also, did you know that when a baptised protestant converts the are not rebaptised in the Catholic Church? So that must mean that the protestant baptism is sufficient. What do you think? I am very interested in this.
